On days like this I am reminded what a privilege it is to work in a job that gives me such amazing access to the Phillies. I have been to Citizens Bank Park a half dozen times already this season and the Phils have yet to play a game that counted. I spent countless hours this month on Phillies stuff and countless more in countless debates about how good, bad or different the Phils will be and why– who should play where, who will be injured, who will be healthy, etc. But today I was reminded why the Phllies really are awesome no matter who plays where, no matter how many they win and no matter who is winning or losing them….
Because people under the age of 10 don’t give a rat’s ass about any of that stuff!
And the people under the age of 10, says the guy with no kids, might just be what make CBP such a great place to be. That and the amazing work the people at CBP and the Phillies office do. In a rare mix of work and play, I got to hang out with one of my favorite under 10’s at CBP. I was there to cover the Phillies ON DECK SERIES… and he was there to have an awesome time with his Dad and Uncle… here’s how those worlds happily collided…
