I know, I know… not the most novel concept in the world… an older person escaping the cruel northeast to find a warmer situation in Florida.  But in the case of my grandmother, I can’t help but be moved by the courage it takes someone of her age, 84, to leave her home of 60 plus years and embark upon a new adventure.  She went on vacation a few months ago to Florida.  When she got back?  She told us she bought a house.  The house is settled in a very nice cul-de-sac with other relatives of mine.  It’s our hope, and hers, that the gentler climate and lifestyle  in Florida will improve her quality of life.  Below are some pictures of her send-off.  Good Luck, Gram!
