Zombies at the Trocadero

Well I haven’t been to the Troc in many moons, but you can bet your ass I will be back sooner than later.  The Trocadero was a place that I went to when I was younger, so when the ZOMBIE BEACH PARTY hit my radar, it was an easy choice to cover it for WPHL.  It had the Zombie angle– zombies are hot right now, it had the beach angle– the beach and summer are always hot and it had the nostalgia angle for me.  Needless to say, I had a great time.  The Troc staff were super helpful and really nice.  (See Zombie Wrangling and a few free rounds!).  I will be back soon to return some of that hospitality.

The event is organized by zombiecrawl.com.  They do three big zombie events every year– this being one.  The other is a prom and the other, other is a bub crawl.  The music was great, the atmosphere was great, drinks were great, the only thing that lacked a little, was the light– but only because I was shooting.  If I was a middle-aged zombie in a speedo or a bikini, I’d probably find the light, JUST right.  Below are some of my favorite shots of the eve and why… followed by the story and gallery I did for PHL17.  If you are a ZOMBIE i met and find your way to this page, I’d love to see what you look like in real life.

Here is the story and gallery I did for WPHL-TV.
